Following a recent accident that saw me transferred from East Grampians Health Service Urgent Care Centre to Ballarat Base ICU and wards, then back to EGHS, I would like to acknowledge the level of care in our local hospital. 

Upon my return to EGHS and after spending a week in the wards there, it was a pleasure to note that the standard of treatment I received was outstanding.

From the hospitality of staff, through all levels of care, I could not have been treated better. 

As a community we should be so grateful to have an amazing team of staff in all departments at our local hospital.

In the last 12 months my family and I have had cause to see first-hand the quality of care in the palliative department and now on the wards. 

Sometimes we take for granted what we have, until we have cause to be cared for in another facility. 

So I would like to thank all of the staff at EGHS who assisted in my recovery. 

You truly are an amazing team.
