POLICE are appealing for witnesses to thefts from two Ararat properties.
Ararat Detective Marcia Parry said a trailer, generator, air compressor, .22 rifle, two chainsaws and a white 1989 Nissan Titan ute were stolen from a locked shed on Cemetery Road in between July 17 and 25.
She said police were also investigating the theft of a gun safe and a shotgun worth almost $900 from a Noahs Ark Road home on July 25.
Det Parry said the house was unlocked but no one was home at the time.
