Taking out the top prize in the four person ambrose event for the men's handicap division were Lachie Stevens, Gary Smith, Tyson Carr and Jeremy Price on 65-123/8-525/8.
The team finished a stroke ahead of Sam Cronin, Taine Pearse, Kup Awarangi and Harrison Cronin.
Organiser Rick Thomas said it was great to see two teams of young golfers finish top of the table.
"We had quite a few young players take part on the day which is fantastic," he said.
"All the men's teams were thereabouts with their scores, which made it pretty tight and competitive. There would have been a lot going home thinking if I hadn't have missed those two putts we might have been a chance!"
Mr Thomas said 14 teams totalling 56 players took part in the competition, which raised just under $4,000 for the Ararat College Chaplaincy program.
The event featured 56 sponsors all up, which included 31 prizes donated for nearest the pins and various other activities including a spinning wheel.
