This year we have seen Bombers undefeated and all other teams improving each week and have welcomed a few new coaches, which we are thankful for.
It's been a great season of junior football.
The Association is fully run by volunteers. I'd like to thank all the committee members of all the clubs for their dedication and support throughout this year.
The competition does not happen without the dedication of many people. I'd like to acknowledge the contribution of the club officials, coaches in ensuring our kids get to play this great game and thank you to all our umpires.
Some of the highlights of this year are the representative games where the ADJFA competes in the Horsham Under-12 Carnival and the Turner-Pickering Challenge match against the Stawell juniors.
Once again our children did a fantastic job representing the Association and Ararat well done kids. This was my first year of attending and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks to all our sponsors for supporting the weekly coaches awards and The Ararat Advertiser for assisting in copying the weekly 'Through the Big Sticks'.
At the completion Sunday's grand final the presentation of trophies and the G&N Harper Premiership Shield will be made, along with the Richardson Oval medallion, VCFL medallion, Mitre-10 MVP award, the Jack Costello goal kicking award and premiership medallions and runner-up medallions.
Best of luck to all our top age players and families who will be leaving us this year. We wish you all the very best with your future football careers.
Enjoy Sunday's game and may the best team win.
