ARARAT - Ararat Police are investigating the theft of a motorbike and equipment from a rural property last week.

The theft is believed to have taken place between the night of Tuesday, February 25 and the early hours of Wednesday, February 26.
Senior constable Ross Murdoch said an unknown number of offenders gained access to a shed and stole a 450cc racing RMZ motorbike valued at approximately $11,000.
The offenders also took numerous pieces of motor bike equipment, mainly FOX branded, belonging to the complainant and his son, valued at approximately $3430.
Any witnesses that noticed a vehicle acting strange on the Mortlake-Ararat Road around this time, or have any information regarding the stolen motorbike and gear are encouraged to call the Ararat Police Station and speak to Senior Constable Murdoch on 5355 1500.
