Celebrations will commence with an official opening and book launch on the Saturday, with afternoon tea provided.
Following this a Gala Centenary Ball will be held and promises to be a night to remember with music provided by Parso and Dave. Patrons are encouraged to frock up or dress in period costume - any era from 1914 for this occasion. A guided cemetery walk commencing at 10am kicks off Sunday's proceedings followed by a barbecue lunch and old time music played by Carmel Phelan throughout the afternoon.
Tours of the refurbished Moyston Primary School will also be available from 1pm.
The committee has compiled a comprehensive book covering the 100 year history of this locally funded facility.
The book included the history of various events that took place in the hall, historic photographs and highlights gleaned from the many minute books used over time. Individual information about the 95 pioneers of Moyston depicted on the hall walls are included in this fascinating historical document.
The book will be available for purchase during the weekend.
A large and comprehensive display of memorabilia and photographs will be available for anyone interested in perusing the fascinating history of this hall.
Bookings for the Gala Centenary Ball are essential, $25 per person with supper included and BYO drinks. Phone 5354 2536 or 5354 2604.
