Local sporting historian Michael Spalding is looking to gather lost information from the competition and is asking for help from any residents who may know the names of various people who held roles with the clubs during the 52-year history of the ADJFA.
Mounties is the second most successful club, behind Bombers, with 15 under-13 and nine under-16 premierships to its name.
The club has been one of the most dominant of the past decade in the under-13 competition, having won four grand finals (2005-06, '08, '10), as well as finishing runner-up in 2011.
John Cool is the longest serving under-13 coach from 1994-2000, while David Rosengreen is second with six seasons in charge from 1962-67.
Mounties' under-13 team has produced plenty of talent that have gone on to star in higher leagues including league best and fairest winners Ian Ord (1973), Scott Wilding ('85) and Jarrod Searle ('01), however Essendon Football Club rookie Lauchie Dalgleish (club best and fairest '04) is the most decorated of the club's exports.
Michael Spalding is missing the name of Mounties' inaugural coach, captain and B and F from 1960, as well as club captains from 1962, '63-66, '72-74, '77, '79-81 and '90-04. The names of under-13 B and F winners from '64-66 are also missing.
In the under-16 competition, which ran from 1960 until it went into recess in 1996, records indicate that George Dunn coached 10 straight seasons ('72-81) and possibly also held the position in 1971 and 1982.
Harvey Pearce captained the team in the first two years ('60-61), winning two club B&Fs and a premiership in '61.
Gary Costello ('73-74), Dino Fratin ('83-84) and Mark Ryan ('92-93) are the only known others to win back-to-back B and F awards.
Mr Spalding is seeking names of coaches from 1963-66, captains from '63, '65-66, '71-72, '80-82, '90-91, '94-96, and B and F winners from '64-66 and '81.
Details of administration roles at Mounties are quite scarce, with Brent Searle the longest known president, having served the role for six seasons between 1996-01.
Presidents names are missing from 1962-68, '70-77, '79-85, '91-95 and '05-06. Vice presidents from 1960-78, '80-98, '03, '05-07. Secretary from 1960-87, '90-95, '97-98, '03. Treasurer from 1960-'95, '97-99, '01, '05-06.
A complete list of Mounties Football Club history, along with the other clubs in the ADJFA can be found at the Ararat YMCA.
