The Elmhurst-Amphitheatre side hosted the depleted Landsborough outfit, and the results spoke for themselves.
Elmhurst took an early lead, with Josh Barker and Trevor Field Taking out Linden Murray and Ryley Hamilton, and Darryl Driscoll and Paul Fetting getting it done for Elm-Amphi against Theo Browne and Karl Scott.

A similar results across at the ladies, with Sally Roberts and Mel Murnane defeating Landsborough's Courtney Ellen and Buangor ring-in Kim Hartwich.
The young combination of Isabella Browne and Emma Bourke for Landsborough put up a mammoth effort against the more experiences Heather Driscoll and Merryn Boatman, falling just short of getting Landsborough on the board.
Elmhurst-Amphitheatre proved too strong across the board, not dropping a set for the entire afternoon, to remain solid on top of the table.
Over at the match at Crowlands, Ararat made the trip to take on the Crowlands side at their first home game for the season.
The teams got rid of a suspicious stick to get underway. The opening games went the way of Ararat, with Nick Oliver and John Hannett coming out firing to take the opening game against Hayden Price and Mark Fenn in a strong display of tennis.
Next door, in what could only be described as the ladies match of the season, Tahni Skewes and Mel Roberts for Ararat took on Julia Boatman and Kate Vance of Crowlands.

This match lived up to the hype, with a wonderful display of tactics and patient tennis finishing with Ararat getting up in a very tight contest.
Crowlands clawed back, with Keith Boatman and Doug Newberry edging out Alex Drosg and Tom Bartlett in a tiebreaker, and Jess Frampton and Jack Newberry defeating Ella McLoughlin and Cat Linton.
The sides were all square on points, and Ararat held a tight 3 game lead going into the mixed sets.
The Ararat combination of Nick Oliver and Tahni Skewes continued their mixed streak against Hayden Price and Julia Boatman, while John Hannet and Mel Roberts also got the job done against Mark Fenn and Kate Vance.
The matches of the day (and eventually the evening) were the final two games. Keith Boatman and Jess Frampton of Crowlands coming out on top in yet another tiebreaker against Alex Drosg and young Ella McLoughlin, and the Doug and Jack Newberry edged out Tom Bartlett and Cat Linton.

Overall, two vastly different yet equally exciting games of tennis played out on what can only be described as a perfect day for tennis.
This weekend, Ararat host Buangor, and Crowlands travel to Landborough.
