Her best two rounds of 32 and 29 gave her a total handicap score of 53½ to take the win from Helen Tucker and Gayle Dadswell (both 56½).
On Wednesday, ladies competed in an 18-hole stableford with an added challenge – restricted to using just three clubs. This proved no problem for Therese Jess, on 38 points. This secured the division two event, with Elaine Richie second on 34 points.
Division one was decided by a countback when Trish Heard (first) and Ruth Gellert (second) finished on 33.
Sally Philip had a day, winning Saturday’s stableford event with 34 points and taking both of the NTP awards on offer.
Marg Lardner was the best of a large field on Monday, winning the nine-hole event with 24 points.
Pennant golf also kicked off on Monday with Chalambar’s division three team falling to Ballarat Red, 3 – 2.
