Tatyoon capped off a strong season by defeating Chalambar in the Grampians Cricket Association under 16 grand final on Sunday.

Chalambar got off to a solid start against their undefeated opponents, with Ned Parsons and Will Cooper top scoring with 18 each to take their team to 3-80.
Tatyoon was able to get on top from for the remainder of the innings, limiting Chalambar to a total of 100 from the allocated 40 overs.
Aaron Byron and Xavier Ewen Jones both picked up two wickets for Tatyoon.
Central Highlands representative player Bailey Hosemans was able to show his class with the bat to get Tatyoon off to the perfect start in the run chase.
Hosemans made 34 before being dismissed, but the damage had already been done by that stage.
Tatyoon skipper Byron carried his form with the ball into his batting innings, finishing with a score of 20 not out as his side went on to chase the total with six wickets in hand and eight overs remaining.
The victory sealed a perfect season for Tatyoon’s junior side who were unable to be beaten in 2017-18.
Hosemans’ knock of 34 led to him finish as the leading run scorer for the under 16 competition with 214 runs to his name.
Stand-in Tatyoon coach Matt Dalkin said he was “proud as punch” of his team.
“I am so proud of how they have represented themselves during the season,” he said.
“Premierships are hard to win end going through a season undefeated is even harder so I hope they enjoy it and remember it in years to come. They have been fantastic to see play.”
