Ararat VRI Bowls celebrated its annual Evelyn McKinnis Memorial Triples Bowls Day recently at the VRI Bowling Club.

Twelve teams, with players from across the district, bowled off for the title.
Prizes were donated and presented by Evelyn McKinnis’ family.
Her son Wayne McKinnis and daughter Kathy Castles were on hand to congratulate the winning team.
The winning team consisted of Ellen Werry, Karen Brennan and Joan Britten, who won with a score of 80.
Club president Noelene McDonald thanked everyone for their participation and Kathy Castles delighted the players with a speech reminiscing about her mum and her love of bowling.
Raffle prizes on the day were donated by Mr Hugh McKinnis and VRI Bowls ladies provided lunch.
