Lindop has been involved with Terry and Karina O’Sullivan’s training stable during her career.
She was the winner of the 2009 Ararat Cup with her 23-year career also including four Group one wins, more than 50 black-type race victories, 22 country and metro cups and more than 1,400 winners in total.
The recently-married jockey said the time was right to move on to the next stage of her life.
“I’m excited for my next chapter, whether I remain involved in the racing community, or pursue new challenges in business or parenthood,” she said.
“I am extremely passionate about racing, women in sport and I hope to become more actively involved with charity work.”
The announcement coincides with a return to the venue of her first group one triumph in Adelaide with Lindop’s final race of her riding career set for May.
