Visitors of all ages have been making the most of Ararat Olympic Outdoor Pool in the warm weather following Christmas.
The pool re-opened for the season this month with new attractions.
Save our Pool committee member Ambrose Cashin said he did not have exact figures for the season so far but heard had heard that a lot of people had been through.
“The morning swimmers are going well and making full use of the facilities ” he said.
“There has ben lots of feedback on how the extra shade has made a place for families to sit.
“The little frog that is there is providing something for the toddlers. With the hot weather we’re having, and more on the way, the pool has been well appreciated and well used.”
Mr Cashin said the arrival of a 39-metre water slide early next year should help attract more older children to the pool.
Mr Cashin also urged parents to teach their children how to swim this summer.
