Ararat managed to get one point from the match after Nancy Pfeiffer drew with Angela Hodgetts with Stawell winning the other two rinks to get the 79-62 win.
Chalambar won two of the three rinks against Lake Bolac but a fighting effort from Karen Gleeson ensured the visitors took the overall honours by four shots.
Ararat VRI Red remains in the top four after a strong performance against VRI Green winning 85 shots to 66.
Lorna Neil’s 33-15 win against Noelle McDonald proved to be the difference.
In the final match of the round, it was Stawell Golf which got the points against Aradale, winning 68 shots to 55.
The win keeps the Golf team in second spot going into the Christmas break.
The round 10 matches were the last for 2017 with the season to resume with round 11 matches on January 15.
