Devery started the second day of play against Youth Club on 49, with his side requiring just 40 runs to win.
The opening batsman held onto his wicket as the Combine’s lead increased, finally finishing on 110 not out when his side declared, leading by 92 runs.
Clinton Slorach picked up 3-54 in his 15 overs, while Angus Barham (1-40) and Damon Folkes (1-46) were the only other wicket takers for Youth Club. The Clubbers had 36 overs to survive to avoid and outright loss and managed to do so easily.
Ethan Marrow and Folkes whittled the lead down to 18 runs before Marrow fell on 39. Folkes (29) lost his wicket soon after but Bailey Taylor and Koby Stewart kept their wickets intact to prevent the Combine from claiming the maximum 10 points.
