Crowds will also be able to make their way to the show from the Golden Gateway Festival’s Barkly Street parade, which will start at 11.30am.
There will be a free showbag to the first 100 children under 10 entering while accompanied by an adult.
Ararat Show Society secretary Sue Dunn said the big draw-cards would return with the event running from 10am to 5pm at the Ararat trotting track on Blake Street.
“The majority of the crowds usually come in from the Golden Gateway procession,” she said.
“We have a lot of kids’ entertainment, we have our sections that are there throughout the day, we have rides and showbags, lots of food, we have Taekwondo entertainment.
“We have wood raffles, we have sections for home and craft industries, we have a floral section and a really good fleece section.”
One of the show’s big events will also return.
“We will have an amazing tractor pull. The tractor pull is an a major highlight. Everyone loves a tractor pull,” Ms Dunn said.
“We have an art and photography section, an animal nursery coming, a climbing wall.”
Other highlights will include a horse section, tiny tots, Ararat showgirl, lady of the day and senior lady of the day competitions.
“We’ll have a big, big horse section this year. There’s a spinning wheel and lots of entertainment.” Ms Dunn said.
The entry price will be $10 for singles, $5 for children aged 5-15, $25 for a family ticket of two adults and up to four children aged under 16 and $8 for seniors.
