While familiar names were rewarded for strong seasons on the court Scott Bond stood above all as providing the club with the most outstanding service.
Club president Mick Morris had plenty of praise for Bond.
“Whenever something needs to be done he can be relied upon to do it without any hassle whatsoever,” he said.
“He just has a really great passion for the club and ticks all the right boxes for.
“He does so much work organising different things which are not just for the football club.
“We are really lucky to have so many great volunteers at this club.”
Jess Cannane was awarded the netball volunteer of the years award.
As well as leading the A Grade side along with Shannon Reinheimer, Cannane coached the under-17s and implemented a buddy system between the club’s senior and junior netballers.
Netball director Vernetta Taylor said it worked wonderfully to bring the netballers closer together.
“Jess has always been willing to share hew netball knowledge with juniors and we wouldn’t be where we are now without her,” she said.
“It was an easy decision to make, she’s an extremely worthy winner of volunteer of the year.”
Sam Clyne won his third Jim O’Connor medal in four seasons after being voted the senior best and fairest. He took out the honour ahead of Jacob O’Beirne.
Shooter Maggie Caris was named best and fairest award in the premiership winning A Grade netball side with midcourt player Ash Grace second in the count.
Gaving Kelm stormed home to win the reserves best and fairest award while Holly Ruwoldt and Emma Sonego won B and C Grade netball best and fairest awards respectively.
