The intersection at the corner of Vincent and High streets once again has a full set of lights with the replacement of the west-side pole.
A VicRoads spokesperson said in September that the roads authority had scheduled works to finish replacing a traffic light pole
The traffic light has been absent from the busy intersection at the corner of Vincent and High streets for about six months.
The intersection also included a pedestrian crossing with signals.
The traffic light was removed after apparently being damaged by a vehicle.
A traffic cone has stood in place of the lights since then.
Ararat Advertiser Facebook follower Lisa Townsend welcomed the news of a replacement when it was announced last month.
“This is utterly ridiculous, it's amazing no accidents have happened yet!” she said.
Other Ararat Advertiser readers suggested the intersection needed wider lanes due to the large number of heavy vehicles and more signals to regulate cross-lane turns.
VicRoads acting regional director Mal Kersting said last month that the traffic light would be replaced soon.
"We understand the importance of these traffic lights to the community,” he said.
"We've completed new underground works and expect to have the new traffic lights operational within the next month.”
