Laura McDougall was dominant in the midcourt for the Hawks and was awarded the best on court honour, despite going off halfway through the last quarter with an ankle injury.
Tatyoon captain Blaire Spalding moved from wint attack to centre and was able to fill the void.
It was a tight first term with neither team gaining an obvious advantage as Hawkesdale-Macarthur went into the first change with a one-goal lead.
Both teams scored six goals in the second quarter to leave the game in the balance at the main break.
The third quarter proved to be the difference with Tatyoon scoring nine goals to three to open up a five-goal lead going into the last term.
An eight goals to six quarter ensured the Hawks finished comfortable 30-23 winners to claim the premiership.
