Tatyoon will face Hawkesdale-Macarthur in the B Grade qualifying final at Caramut on Saturday.
Hawks’ Laura McDougall is likely to meet line up alongside Hawkesdale-Macarthur’s Nicole Hunt in the centre.
McDougall is a consistent performer for Hawks as she links their defence and attack and provides forward drive through the centre corridor.
The Hawks will need to ensure their passes are direct and players lead in front of their opponents. If Blackberry lines up in defence she may come across Hawks goalie Amanda Gibbons.
Gibbons has been reasonably accurate and can create some great movement in the circle for the Hawks.
It will be interesting to watch this battle evolve as both players will need to be at their best if they are to help get their side over the line.
These two teams only met once during the year, with the Eagles recording a one goal win - so it is anyone’s game.
Match starts at 1pm
B Grade: SMW Rovers v Woorndoo-Mortlake
SMW Rovers will line up against Woorndoo-Mortlake in a sudden death B Grade elimination final at Derrinallum on Sunday.
The clubs played each other twice this year, with the sides one win apiece.
The Tigers will need to make sure they take advantage of their opportunities and convert on the scoreboard, otherwise the Bulldogs may drive the ball out of defence and score themselves.
Katrina Simmons has been solid in defence for the Bulldogs.
She will be hoping the pressure she applies will affect the Tigers’ passes into the circle.
Match starts at 1pm.
C Grade: Tatyoon v Hawkesdale-Macarthur
Tatyoon will be fighting to keep its season alive when it faces Hawkesdale-Macarthur in the C Grade elimination final at Derrinallum on Sunday.
They only played each other once this year, with the Eagles winning by four goals. However, the Hawks were without Emily Reynolds.
Reynolds is a dynamic goalie that moves swiftly around the court and can rebound well.
Georgie Leloup has been consistent for Tatyoon in defence, as she rebounds well and continually applies pressure on her opponent.
It will be the team with seven determined performers on the day that takes home the win in this one.
Match starts at noon.
