The Baggies won two out of the four quarters, but it was not enough as they went down 55-50 at Rupanyup.
The game started closely, with the Panthers taking a slender two-goal quarter time lead.
The game was effectively won in the second quarter as the home side shot 14 goals to eight to extend the margin to eight goals.
The Baggies won the next two quarters but were unable to reel in the deficit blown out by half time.
Drew Smith moved from wing attack to goal shooter in the second half, scoring 15 goals to help cut the margin.
Jade Cleary was once again solid up front, scoring 26 goals to lead the Baggies to their second highest score of the season.
Defenders Kayla Woods and Sarah Weidemann were best on court for the Panthers.
Blair Burke proved important for the home side, scoring 41 goals.
The A Grade season has finished for both teams now, with Swifts placing tenth with four wins in their return A Grade season. Swifts’ under 15 team is the only one that will feature in finals starting next weekend.
