The Magpies fell to fourth position after their loss to Tatyoon on Saturday but will go into the match at Hawkesdale as favourites.
Hawkesdale-Macarthur sit two games outside of the top five and needed a win.
A loss to the Magpies would all but end its finals hopes for the 2017 season.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac’s defence will be under pressure with Hawkesdale-Macarthur’s forward line ranked number three in the league, which could lead to an attacking game of football from both teams.
With six teams all within eight points of each other, the 2016 grand finalists must continue winning if they are to ensure they play finals again.
The visitors will need to win at least two of their remaining four home and away games to qualify for finals
The first bounce for the round 14 match is scheduled for 2.15pm at Hawkesdale Recreation Reserve.
