The Ellipsis team secured the championship by progressing through undefeated and is the first team to win back-to-back titles in many years.
Tink said the win was exciting.
“We were reasonably confident going into the final,” she said.
“We knew that if we held it together mentally then we would have a good chance.”
Twelve women’s teams participated in the championships on the Gold Coast.
The side romped into the final with an impressive 15-0 win, something Tink said was relatively unheard of.
In the grand final the side came up against the Sydney Rogue Alliance for a second consecutive season.
The defensive pressure from Ellipsis denied its oppositions chance at converting in the end zone.
It was then the same fast efficient offence that allowed Ellipsis to go through the tournament undefeated to clinch back to back titles 15-3.
Tink said the championships signalled the end of the season for her side.
“We have been training for this tournament since November,” she said.
“To qualify you have to go through regional tournaments and we also played a couple of other tournaments to prepare.”
Tink said she first picked up the sport while at university as a way of keeping fit during the netball off-season. “It’s just a good fun, social sport,” she said. “I have met so many people from across the country, from all sorts of places playing it.”
Tink said she would look forward to the challenge of winning three in a row.
“I am sure all the other teams will be hungry and keen,” she said.
