Back to the Bible
It is a crying shame that evolution is now taught in the schools.

I have researched creation versus evolution for many years now and there is conclusive evidence that evolution is a myth.
The God of the Bible is the Creator of all the universe; that cannot be denied when you see the wonders of His creation like the animals, birds, sea creatures and insects and how perfectly they are created to survive and how they adapt so perfectly to their environments.
It is shocking that religious education has been taken out of the schools and children are taught the lies of evolution.
Young people who are not taught the truth that comes from Jesus will only make wrong choices when they grow older.
This is evident when you look at the huge crime rate and drug problems of today as compared to the 1920s, 1930s when creation was taught in the schools and there was a very low crime rate and no drug problems.
There has to be a life after we leave this earth otherwise there would be no such thing as right or wrong.
The theory of evolution and the big bang theory has to be a lie because God created every creature, tree and plant so perfectly.
With a big bang there would be no Creator to make creation so perfect and every living creature and plant would be haphazard, distorted, unable to function and unable to adapt to their very complex environments.
Also in order for living beings or anything to come into existence there has to be someone to create those living beings.
I have never seen anything in my life come into existence from nothing. I’ve never seen a building built without a builder.
I’ve never seen anything built from nothing because everyone knows that’s impossible. Things don’t come from nothing.
How does evolution explain the stars and outer space for instance, where did they come from? They had to be created.
Things don’t just appear from nothing.
The God of the Bible is the truth and God is the creator of all the beauty around us.
I just wish and pray that teachers would stop teaching the lies of evolution to children.

Congratulations
I write to congratulate the residents of Pomonal and the Ararat Rural City Council on being nominated for the LGPro 2017 awards for excellence for the Pomonal Hall Renewal Project.
The Pomonal community, together with Ararat Rural City Council worked tirelessly to achieve this great project and I am pleased to see this work recognised through this nomination.
In a demonstration of great pride, community ownership and sheer hard-work, the local community raised $100,000 towards the project.
The Pomonal Hall build was also supported with $485,000 of funding from the Victorian government, and $400,000 from Ararat Rural City Council.
I was delighted to open Pomonal Hall in September 2016 and I am glad that the new building has been embraced so well by the Pomonal community.
I was impressed that the local community is taking on responsibility for the landscaping of the Hall, demonstrating the pride, knowledge and skills that groups such as the local branch of the Australian
Native Plant Society are able to bring to the Hall Renewal Project.
Buildings such as Pomonal Hall are vital for small towns to have a space where they can come together to share all manner of community events, whether they be the Primary School Art Show, the local market, sporting events or community action meetings.
I wish the residents of Pomonal and the Ararat Rural City Council all the best for the announcement of the awards.
