Although Elmhurst won 60 games the side failed to win a single point.
Ararat’s Alex Drosg and Josh Hannett had to worked hard in the doubles but were still able to defeat Elmhurst’s Lynden Murray and Matt Haddow.
In the women’s section Edmund Bush paired with Maryanne Harricks to win 9-0 against Jenny Trengrove and Margo Molloy.
She then repeated this effort when paired with Genevieve Bush.
The other match saw Buangor win a hard fought contest against Landsborough six points to four.
The two clubs were separated by just two games, with Buangor taking 78 to Landsborough’s 76.
Despite Landsborough winning both the men’s and women’s sections – to take two points from each – the side lost the match thanks to Buangor claiming four points for winning more games.
