Willaura defeated Buangor 23 games to 22 in round seven of the Mininera and District Tennis Association junior competition on Saturday.

Buangor was first on the board with Tim Hartwich and Riley Walker serving and rallying strongly to take the first set from Nick Vallance and Scott Evans 6-4.
Willaura won the second set 7-5 to tie the match at one set each before they also won the third set to claim victory.
Buangor came back in the final set, but it was not enough to stop Willaura’s win and keep them from the top of the ladder.
The showdown between Ararat White and Ararat Red was also a close encounter.
The second two sets both went to Ararat Red giving them an unassailable lead, three sets 22 games to one set 17 games.
In the final match of the day Tatyoon had a comfortable win against Moyston 23 games to nine.
The round eight fixture will be the final matches before the Christmas break.
