A 53-year-old Ballarat man has been charged over a bus crash at the Montague Street bridge in February which left 11 passengers injured.

The driver was charged with six counts of negligently causing serious injury and six counts of dangerous driving causing serious injury and other traffic related offences.
He is due to face the Melbourne Magistrates Court on October 19.
The incident occurred on February 22 when a Gold Bus slammed into the 3.8 metre bridge, trapping some passengers for up to an hour.
