Members of the mens and womens Australian dodgeball teams were on hand to assist in drills and teach those who attended.
Ararat Activate committee member Trisha Ruthven said it was good to see so many people at the clinic.
"It went really well,” she said.
"Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.
"Around 60 people attended and the Australian team have already said they are happy to come back to Ararat in 2017.”
Ms Ruthven, who is a teacher at Ararat College, said she wanted to do something that could cater for all age groups.
She said she asked students what they would like to do and dodgeball was the overall consensus.
“The Australian team said it was one of the best clinics they had done,” she said.
“Everyone put in plenty of effort and it showed on the day.”
