The Lions have been performing below par in recent weeks and their loss against Ararat Eagles last weekend hit hard.
Coach Andrew Bach said the clubs focus has changed for the coming weeks and it was to start against Penshurst on Saturday.
“We are going to go out there for the next four weeks and give it everything,” Bach said.
“We just want try and get some respect back.”
Great Western has had a tough run with injury.
The Lions have eight of their better seniors players out.
The team will have to call on its reserves to step up and potentially play two games.
Assistant coach AJ Bourke will return to park this weekend as will Jay English.
English will provide Great Western with a strong target in the forward line, but he will need to hang onto his marks.
The Lions will travel to Penshurst on Saturday.
