When the teams met in round 13 Stawell finished 14-point winners.
Nhill coach Alan Bennett thought the score flattered his side.
“Stawell ran very well and got out against us,” he said.
“We’ll need to be more focused on fundamentals if we want to win on Saturday.”
For Nhill, a win would go a long way to securing finals.
“We’ve got a chance to put ourselves in a good position with a win,” Bennett said.
Warriors coach Brad Thomas said his team would have to lift to shut Nhill’s outside runners down.
“We will need to lift our intensity, work-rate and accountability,” he said.
“If we want to secure third spot we have to get ourselves up and about.”
A Warriors win will give the side the chance to secure third against Horsham Demons in the final round.
“We truly believe we can mix it with any side in the competition,” Thomas said.
“Our best football is still ahead of us.”
