The exhibition will comprise the work of all 30 finalists, including the winner Trent Mitchell and his piece titled ‘Boy in Boat’.
Other names like Alex Ellinghausen, Andrew Goldie, Emma Perry and Fiona Morris will also be featured.
The finalists were all competing for the $50,000 prize with Trent Mitchell being awarded the prize from judges Cheryl Newman, Alan Davies and Deborah Hutton.
Ms Newman, who is the former Photography Director of the Telegraph Magazine in the UK was impressed with the diverse range of entries.
“The work selected is rich and varied; it covers youth, the elderly and minorities,” she said.
The MCPP invites to photographers to interpret ‘Contemporary Life in Australia’ in their own personal way, while focusing on Australians going about their day-to-day lives
The exhibition will be in Ararat from 22 July – 11 September 2016.
