While the 1500 people that made it through the door of the 18th annual installment of the exhibition meant the numbers were slightly down on previous years, there was still plenty to look at.
Club treasurer Clyde Humphries said there was a different approach taken by the club this year.
“This year we had a lot more smaller layouts instead of the big ones that we previously had, which meant a lot more variety,” he said.
“From the large ones right down to the Z-scale ones, which can be about as big as your thumbnail.”
Mr Humphries was surprised to note that more adults seemed to be coming to see the exhibition than in previous years.
“We had a lot of it set lower this year so kids could see it,” he said.
“We’re beginning to work out that kids want to see the exhibition as well.”
Mr Humphries was particularly proud of his layout.
“People were spending quite a bit of time watching the cyclists moving up and down the path.”
