Monique Scott and her 17 and under side enjoyed a comprehensive victory against Sunraysia, with the side playing a fast-paced style of game. Wimmera claimed the bragging rights, 40-32.
Featuring Rats’ Annie Shea and Katelin McDonald, Wimmera’s 15 and under girls lost 38-31 in a close encounter.
“They were a little loose in defence, which was probably the main downfall,” Gayle Leith, Wimmera senior co-coach, said.
Nothing could separate the 13 and under girls, who played out a 27-all draw. Racquel Scott and Jesse Bligh represented the Rats.
“It was a great game with spectators getting into the contest,” Leith said.
This weekend, Wimmera netballers travel to Swan Hill for the Northern Zone Championships.
