Acting Sergeant Rob McBride said offenders sprayed graffiti on cars, including ones in Pryors Road, Edith Street, Baillie Street and Elizabeth Street.
“It looks like they’ve walked from one side of town to the other doing it,” he said.
Vandals also spray-painted fences in Horsham, and targeted a car at Quantong.
Acting Sgt McBride said police were also investigating a smashed car windscreen in Edith Street that happened in the same timeframe.
“It could be linked, but we don’t know,” he said.
Horsham resident Rob Hormann was the owner of the damaged car.
He said the damage happened between midnight Tuesday and 1am on Wednesday.
“My neighbour came and told me that the windscreen on my car, parked on Edith Street, had been smashed in,” he said.
“I felt gutted, and more than a little annoyed at the destruction of property.
“Looking further down Edith street I noticed some other people’s front fences had been spray-painted as well, adding to the list of vandalism in the area.”
Acting Sgt McBride urged anyone with information to call Horsham Police Station on 5382 9200.
