AN Ararat woman appeared at Ararat Magistrate’s Court on Friday in relation to drug possession charges dating back to late 2014.

The woman was charged with possession of amphetamine, possession of cannabis, possession of a drug of dependence and possession of proceeds of crime.
She was arrested after police executed a search warrant at a Dawson Street house in Ararat on November 5, 2014.
At the time, police located $85,000, an amount of cannabis and a large amount of prescription drugs.
The case has been adjourned, with the woman set to re-appear at Ararat Magistrate's Court on July 11, 2016.
