Ms Sweeney is now under consideration to become a finalist in the South West TAFE and Deakin University South West Regional Achiever Award. Judging will take place tomorrow.
Over the past five years Ms Sweeney has worked hard to promote the agricultural Industry and support the community.
2014 was a big year for Ms Sweeney as she ran and hosted several events.
Ms Sweeney in conjunction with Live Rural held the first Mellow In The Yellow event, which focuses on promoting the use of Australian produces and local businesses.
Award finalists will be presented and winners announced at an Awards Gala Presentation Dinner at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on Friday, October 16.
The annual awards encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions individuals, communities and businesses are making throughout regional and rural Victoria.
