Golfers returned to the green following a week off and have been experiencing temperatures in single figures, so it has been the hardiest of players venturing out.
Richards and Rob Boyd both finished the stableford event on 77 points, and a countback was needed to decide the winner. Nearest the pin on the ninth hole was Rayner Fisher.
Saturday’s stableford competition was won by Brian Richards on 39 points with Ken Mahney receiving the runner up spoils.
Gary Cooper was nearest to the pin winner on the eighth hole.
Lajos Seres emerged victorious in last Sunday’s stroke competition sponsored by Mick Bextream, returning a scorecard of 83/13/70.
Brian Richards claimed runner up honours with 88/16/72.
Seres’ good form continued at Aradale. He also claimed nearest to the pin on the ninth hole.
