While help has been provided to Kathmandu Valley and Central East Himalaya, the Lamjung region is still in need of support.
Mr Merrick said relief is vital for areas that don’t benefit from any tourist income.
“Banasthali school has classes from prep to year 10, this is significant as most schools outside major centres don’t go past primary level,” he said.
The Merrick’s hope to raise enough money to repair a classroom damaged by the earthquakes and monsoon.
It will also include an upgrade of the solar system, an installation of lights and two additional computers.
“The community of Gilung is proud that they can educate their children locally, as it is beyond their means to send them away for post primary education,” Mr Merrick said.
Donations can be made at the Bendigo Bank branch in Ararat.
