The event produced an exciting finish, with Penny Brain winning division one following a countback with Ruth Gellert Both golfers scored 39 points.

Ceal Gubbins (38 points) topped division two, while Sue Leeke was runner-up on 35 points.

Gubbins, with 18 points, had to settle for runner-up honours last Monday, with Teresa Gemmola winning the stableford competition on 20 points.

Proving victorious in Saturday's stableford was Marg Peoples (34 points), while Sally Philip was the nearest the pin winner on the 16th hole.

Tomorrow's ladies' event at the Chalambar Golf Club is a stableford beginning at 9am.
