For several of the students it was their first time sitting a ballet exam with the syllabus.
Twenty tudents were once again examined by Christine Walsh, AM, the principal of the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet and former principal dancer of the Australian Ballet.
Miss Walsh was incredibly pleased with the standard of work by the Ararat students and commented on the improvement from one year to the next by several students.
This year four students received a deistinction result, the highest mark awarded and now have the opportunity to attend scholars' classes at the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet headquarters in the year ahead.
These students were Paige Burger, Madison Potter, Amy Harris and Sophie Carlyle.
Amy Harris and Sophie Carlyle will attend their scholars' program in April next year along with other distinction students, at the autumn scholars' five day program.
Madison Potter and Paige Burger will attend classes later this year.
