Two offenders are alleged to have forced entry to the complex by smashing a window above a door at the rear of the building.
Once inside they stole a first aid kit, keys and a till with an unknown amount of money inside.
One of the offenders suffered cuts during the break-in.
A teenager has been arrested and questioned by police over the break in, but police are appealing for information as they track down the other person involved.
Police are also investigating a burglary at a Barkly Street business on April 4. Unknown offenders are believed to have entered the building through the front door at about 11.20pm.
Anyone with information should contact Ararat police 5355 1500 or Crimestoppers 1800 333 000.
