The final result was an Anderson Racing quinella with Fire it Up coming in second, meaning a Daryl and Glenn Douglas finish.
Shannon Village came in third place.
A good crowd attended the eight race meeting held on the Sunday evening.
In race one, The Jo Collins Pace, saw Jialiner too strong for Doey Doeback with Sweet Wise third.
In race two Zac Phillips claimed the early double, a second win with Spur on Magpie.
My Name is Fame and Dakota Rose were the place getters.
Race number three, the Joe Hooper Pace was won by Soho Wonder followed by Another Safari and Soho Lennon.
In race five, The Kerrisa Bond Pace Kankkunen driven by Kerryn Manning proved too good for Jacuzzisuzzi and Helavagem.
Paparazzi Snapshot driven by Greg Sugars crossed the line first in race six, Earl of Charity was second and Allawart Ugo third.
Race number seven, Gnotuk took the prize from Burston Holme and Life is a Pleasure.
In the final run of the night Glenferrie Typhoon finished in front of Russell Galleon and William John not far behind.
Memberships at the Ararat Harness Racing Club for the 2013/14 season will be available at the next meeting with the price rising slightly.
Memberships will cost $60, concession $30 and trainers who use the track $75, with all memberships including a 'Hot-to-Trot' card that enables free admission to all Victoria clubs at Tabcorp Park.
The 'Hot-to-Trot' card replaces the harness card and will be free to AHRC members.
A members day/night will be held during the year.
