The series is conducted over three separate events held in January, February, with the last round on April 20. Perry-Parmenter won the Tri-Series competition last year at the 60cm level with Freddy.
Perry-Parmenter, who is a member of the Maryborough Pony Club, Mount Cole Equestrian Association and Marian College Equestrian Team got her first horse at the age of three and started riding properly when she was five years old.
She now competes regularly on two horses, Freddy the pony and Dez the thoroughbred, in competitions including dressage, show jumping, games and horse trials/one day events (which includes dressage, show jumping and cross country at the one event).
The Marian College student has already been in stunning form this year, with a number of impressive performances at the highly contested Barastoc Horse of the Year Competition.
In the 60cm show jumping event, Perry-Parmenter and Freddy picked up a first and third placing and overall Champion in the section with 23 points - four points clear of her nearest rival.
Perry-Parmenter then took part in the Riley 75cm jumping event with Dez and was wrapped to receive fourth place considering the extremely high standard of competitors on the day.
The junior talent is one of the few show jumpers who regularly compete on two horses at all competitions she attends. She has been praised for her ability to change from competing on a pony of 13 hands high to her thoroughbred who is about 16 hands high.
Perry-Parmenter is now busily preparing with her Maryborough team mates for the flat team (dressage in a group of four) and musical ride (dressage in a group of four to music), which will be conducted at Bealiba at the end of April.
If successful, the teams will move on to the state competitions in June.
