Tree blitz
ARARAT’s Landcare volunteers were out in Grano Street on Tuesday as part of a planting program to green up Ararat streets.

Around 70 indigenous trees from Keringal Native Nursery at Tatyoon were planted along Grano Street.
However plans to plant more trees along Wilson and Campbell Streets were put on hold due to NBN cabling issues.
Project co-ordinator Marion Da Costa said the local Landcare members were committed to more tree planting in the future.
“Aside from all the functional things trees offer, they are very beautiful,” she said.
