Club President Geoff Sanderson, James Bate from Insite Architects along with Jock Coutts and Anthony Berry from Q Constructions officially declare the revamped venue open.

The revamped venue features a sleek city feel.

It includes an impressive sports bar and care area as well as a bank of mega televisions – prefect for those wanting to watch the footy, races, golf and tennis.

The Stawell Harness Racing Club has also invested heavily in a range of new equipment allowing the club to serve up hot light meals at any time of the day or night.

Club President Geoff Sanderson paid tribute to the venue’s staff for helping make the project a success.

“To all the staff who have had patience and dedication to get through this build, thank you and we really appreciate all of the work you have done,” he said.

Club Manager Mark Percival said he was delighted with the outcome.

“The space that has been created is an imaginative take on what you can do with a venue. They needed to reclaim what was essentially a lot of dead space, moving the offices onto the outside has helped and a staff room and the old TAB, it has reclaimed a whole lot of space and now that can be used,” he said.
