Successful Wine and Savouries night boosts hospital funds
STAWELL Hospital Auxiliary’s biggest fundraiser of the year didn’t disappoint with around 60 people enjoying the annual ‘Wine and Savouries’ night recently at the Stawell Town Hall.
Auxiliary volunteers worked tirelessly to deliver the event which included home made food, local wines and the chance to purchase items donated by local businesses.
President Pam Byron said the final tally is yet to come, but it was a big success.
“We haven’t got a final balance yet because a lot of it was done on line but I’d say we raised roughly about $7,000. It’s a great effort really,” she said.
The auxiliary use the funds raised from the Wine and Savouries night to fund purchases for the Stawell Hospital.
‘We also had a raffle and we made about $13,000 from that which boosts the total,” she said.
“Everyone said the food was good which is a good thing.”
Stawell Hospital Auxiliary are looking for new members to help plan and prepare fundraising events like the Wine and Savouries night.
