The announcement was made after board executives met on Friday night, outlining the decision was made with 'great sadness'.
In a statement, league president John Box said he thanked all the clubs throughout what's been a difficult season.
"I thank the executive of the football and netball leagues for the many hours they have contributed to the season," Box's statement read.
"As president of the Mininera and District Football League, this is one of the hardest decisions I have been involved in.

"The greatest honour for any club is to play finals, after a hard year of training and to not have that opportunity is very sad.
"At this stage, six weeks out of football, is a long time to get back and going."
The statement said the board would meet next week to discuss finalising presentation nights and awards for the top teams.
The Mininera league is the latest in a string of cancellations to community winter sport with Ballarat, North Central, Hampden and Bendigo football netball leagues and more have abandoned the rest of their 2021 seasons.
