The Association had earmarked Monday, July 12, as the start of its new season, but was forced to extend the deadline to give clubs more time to secure players.
This is the second time the Association has extended the deadline, after an underwhelming response leading up to Friday, July 2.
"No one wants to see a child missing out on sport, but spare a thought for the organisers," read a statement by the association on Facebook.
"People that register after close (of date) can cause a lot of issues, unfair teams, numbers, draw changed, which always gets thrown back to selectors and executive members, which is frustrating."
"If you have or know of a child that wants to play basketball futsal ensure they are registered."
