The Ararat Rural City Council is surveying residents to better understand their willingness to receive the COVID-19 vaccines.

Ararat Rural City Council chief executive Dr Tim Harrison said it was vital for the region that people receive their vaccinations.
"In these unusual times, a vaccine is the best defence to prevent the spread of the virus," he said.
"We want to better understand how community members feel about getting vaccinated, especially those who are undecided.
"All community members are encouraged to participate in the COVID-19 Vaccination Program survey on the Engage Ararat platform or by calling council offices, it's only takes a few minutes."
The survey also enables people to ask any questions they might have about the vaccine anonymously.

"The information gathered from the survey will enable us to further support our community, ensuring any concerns surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine are raised and appropriately addressed," Dr Harrison said.
"As a community, we need to look out for one another and for our health system. If eligible, please make an appointment to get the jab."
The survey is open to the public from June 18-25.
To complete it, head to www.engage.ararat.vic.gov.au or phone the council's Customer Service on 03 5355 0200, and a staff member will fill out the survey on your behalf.
