The May 50k aims to increase awareness around multiple sclerosis while also raising funds for not for profit organisation MS Research Australia.
Participants fundraise by running or walking 50 kilometres throughout May, with all the staff at Ararat Physiotherapy and Health joining in the efforts.
Physiotherapist Hannah McLean said she was pleased with how the fundraiser was received both in raising awareness and funds.

"It was really successful. Our original goal was $1000 and we got more than $1200," she said.
"When people have been coming in to buy their raffle tickets and seen the signage that has been around, it's definitely increased amount that people are talking about MS and are asking about what MS is and what people with MS experience.
"I think it's definitely something we'll look into doing again in coming years."
Ararat Physiotherapy and Health also thanked their sponsors Fred & Bets Cafe and Grampians Estate Winery for their donations to the raffle.
While May is over, people can donate to groups' fundraising efforts in The May 50k until June 30.
